The University Of Birmingham Bridge Club

We are the few intelligent individuals who care indulge in a few hands of bridge once a week.

We have two teams that occasionally compete against other universities.

If you want to join, or just have a passing interest in bridge, come along and see! We meet every tuesday, at 7.30pm, ususally in one of the committee rooms in the guild. Either committee room 5, or the green room. If we're not there, ask at reception and they'll find us! 

Bridge this week, as normal. This week we'll be in the computer science common room. Starting at 7, either meet us at CS, or in joes at 6:45 to walk over.

NB, there are limited refreshments available (at a high price), so bring your own!

The AGM will be held on the last tuesday of term, during the usual bridge playing time. This is a chance to reflect on the year gone, and also (mainly) to elect the committee for the coming year. Anyone can run for a position, and only bridge members can vote. To give you an idea, the positions are:

Chair.........................Runs the society.

Treasurer...................Looks after money.

General Secretary........Is the slave.

Social Secretary...........Organises Socials!

Other positions may also be invented, if their is a demand for it and it is agreed that such a position is necessary.

Once again, the AGM will be on Tuesday 27th March, during bridge. Don't worry though, it'll only take 20 minutes!
